finally got my splitter

hey guys, finally got my ibiza splitter, was talking to a friend who has one on his car, he was telling me you have to remove the old splitter and like the actual grill bit under the numberplate, was wondering how does it actually attach?? obviously the clips dont line up properley

any help would be great
