Suspensions, Suspensions, Suspensions

Post by blackgti »

 I have been looking all week for an easy solution for my car.

I have already lowered the car 35mm on H&R Springs with the original shocks but it feels really wrong, too much over compensating or something hard to explain. I not fussed if it is coilovers but dont really want to spend £660 on a set of KW coilovers.

Now I've been looking in to a few alternatives and was wondering what everyone esle thinks. :)

Koni Sport shocks, Koni Equipped Suspension Kit, FK High Sport or Edition, Or Supersport Gold line coilover.

If anyone has had some experience please let me know cheers everyone.

Hi Courtney

I don't have any problems with my H&R springs, and I've had some really nice compliments on it's handling from people who know about suspension (when I've let them drive it).

I too have been looking at the alternatives to KW... There are some more economical offerings out there from Supersport, FK etc etc, but without knowing someone who's got them on their GTi it's hard to decide.

Speedlaw will no-doubt chip in here with "You get what you pay for" which is pretty much true in life, however I've found in the past that this is not always true (TFT Screens direct from the far east costing less than £100 which are as good or better quality than big brand screens is just one example).

If you get some, please let me know what you think of them!

i've got a set of Koni springs and adjustable dampers (cant remember the name of em) cause height adjustment was not something i needed. this kit is fantastic compared to the old spring kit that was on the car before.
