Have a butchers at this Mk2 on ebay, seriously tempted to buy that and do something special with it like a mad respray, lower, alloys and styling.

well, how else do you make a pickup out ofa car that was never offered in that body style? Looks pretty close to a mini caddy, tubbing looks ok to my laymans eyes, nice touch putting the spoiler thing on the new window - though the styling *is* pretty dodgy. Wherever did they get those vinyls? (or... as ever... the ebay listing skills)
I still think itd be cool to try it with a saloon - bigger more practical load space but otherwise the same car
though it already looks like a cool cheap way of carting tall plants and fridges about, or ripe for conversion into a dormobile for short people
