DIY of course, do everything myself, that way you learn a new skill along the way, if you pay someone to do something you usually end up doing it yourself because they do it wrong. if you want something doing, do it yourself.

Nice nice.

Mk4Mexican, You cant polish the centre caps because they are plastic, Im going for a 165 or 175/55/14 tyre, think that will look alright myself, as for polishing them, i wouldnt bother if you dont have any tools/experience/space, its just taken me the best part of two months to do mine, if you do, make sure you get the paint stripped somewhere, thats what took me the longest.

how you think they did that?

i cant wait to have mine polished, i mean mine are in really good condition, pretty new, even the spare, buy i think in a polish finish like these would look the balls!

what u think? when u getting yours on?

mine ae 185/55/14 and the ride qual;ity is amazing, at 108mph (as fast as i've got out of it) on the M1 which isnt the best motorway, i souldnt feel any vibrations or nothing! plus that size i think looks good, as sides are not too big, but enough to look oldschool!

I should imagine they've been chromed rather than polished.

you can get (allthough very rare) alloy centre covers for p-slots in which case you can polish the whole thing, or you can get some made up from a custom fabricator place, as not really a complicated job.

but then i personally think they look cooler with the indent in the middle, just gives it a lil more character as they can look a little flat and boring with the covers, imo anyway.

p.s tell me about it with the taking ages taking the paint off  i had diamond cut alloys so needed the entire wheel sanded down a couple mm, nightmare, i'd get them acid dipped if i did another set

do you know of anywhere that would make me a set of centre caps? cus once they are like the ones in the pic, i've got a set of pirelli stickers of the right size to stick on the caps so they look like the campaign wheels! plus they are in a red like my car and gone get the lip done the colour of my car too.

what you think?
