Removing Grill.....HELP

Post by Robdeforma »

How do you remove the grill without pulling on the grill surround? pictures or walk through would be best if possilbe....

Also once you've got the grill off how easy is it to remove the VW badge and put it back on again?

If you could email me [email protected] that would be great thanks!

E-mail? that seems long and effort filled. Hopefully someone less lazy then me will help you out here lol.

Its just aswell because i cant remember if you have to remove the headlights before you can take the grill off. I think you do. Then you have to remove the surround and everything else (inc badge) just clips out.

headlights can stay in when taking it out, pop the bonnet and where the bonnet sits on top of the grille, grab a flat head screwdriver and pop the clips at the top along from one headlight to another i think thats basically it!

the rest just sits in the holes

I tried that....they all popped out but the grill still seems to be attached some how. Or are they generally just tough to pull out?

well on mine there were two screws at either end of the thing. On its 'arms' if you will. They are now hidden by the headlight. Which is why i assumed one would need to remove the headlight before hand. Thinking about it though i thought i had to remove the grill to get the headlight out... fudge knows lol.
