All Dressed up with nowhere to go *piccy update*

Post by Mk2Adam »

Hi guys, had a day off today so thought i'd treat my car to a well earned Valet, pity i've got no show to go to because it is SPARKLING right now, even after a motorway drive and some heavy rain. :D

just thought i'd give a quick update really, these are the 1st proper pics i've taken since i got my new alloys, and i got smoked front indicators a while back but i think this is the 1st pics i've shown since then...

My car in it's natural environment of a housing estate...

My car on a day trip down to the coast...

and finally, my car's new cup holder getting aquainted with the colonal...

i know it's not up to the standard of alot of guys cars on here and only a 1 litre but I like it and all that matters i guess...

Any comments good or bad very welcome

i'm not one of these clean freaks that does 50 stage polishing blah blah lol

i gave it a wash using autoglym shampoo, a quick going over on any tiny scratches using turtlewax chipstick, and then used the blue wax polish on it.

then finally just gave the bumpers and trim a quick go with autoglym bumper care (only used as ran out of back to black)

tbh the paintwork isn't bad on it really, it was pretty shiney just after the wash

took me about 2 hours but that included cleaning the interior all properly 8)

How are my old wheels faring up then?

As I said a short while ago they suit it to a tee and they've definately gone to the right owner, they were getting lonely on the back seat of my polo.

A clean as mk2, this car really does look as good as this in the flesh.

cheers for the comments quinny :D

yea, i've havn't kerbed them once so far, mainly because the tyres stick out far enough, lost count of how many times i've clipped things with the tyre, strange what the extra inch can do when you're so used to the size of you're car. :?

you coming to VW expo? be nice to actually show my car when it's clean, both times i've gone to yours the car hasn't been washed for over a month haha
