lol dee-vub, it's each to their own - some people like having a slow car with a poor turning circle

Poor turning circle is not a worry as driving a classic mini i am quite used to that now! And yes it may be FRACTIONALLY slower, but it looks 3million times better in my opinion...but as you say-each to their own! I get the whole vee dub low, smooth & wide thing but it's just not for me. And i'm not exactly shy to the vee dub scene as i do work for Performance VW magazine!

Bunch of poofs :)

You all do the same s**t to ur polos, 100000mm drops with 13" wheels.

All the polos round here are all slammed on with wee wheels, - you get the same amount of hassle with lowess as well as 17"

IE, sumps , tracking, chassis etc - i already know 2 mates with mk4s who have wrote theres off with being to low

i prefer 17" its my style , ive had my polo on 15" with a 60mm drop and i hated it , bumppy as f**k and with the 17" i wouldnt say there was that much speed lost

i mean i only drive a 1.4 75bhp , not a 2.0 twin turbo supra if i wanted speed i would have bough an s3,a3, or a golf etc

1 i dont have 13" wheels, i have 16's and 2 iv not dropped it 1000000mm, its only dropped 35mm, and in my oppinion looks like its on stilts.

your sayin all the polos around are slammed wi low wheels, maybe thats because its what they suit! My polo is not the same at all to any1s on this site that iv seen, i do like to keep my car individual, but within the certain comfort zone that keeps it liked by the very vast majority.

i do respect what your doing, and neil i'm not at all saying i dont liek your car, cos it looks a real tidy motor. but whether you've got a 1litre micra or a bloody m3, you should still try and keep it within its maximum potential.
its like sayin in your case why pay the extra insurance for the 16v when its as quick as an 8v.

i'm not having ago, just trying to put mny point across. i prob sound like a complete prick to you 2 that wants to punch my lights out lol......but just say. i am laso taking in and respecting the comments you are giving back.

Its your car so why bother to what others think ?

I like polos slammed - but as i already said i had mine on 15" with a 60mm drop and i couldnt get it in my drive, and i hated that.

When i picked the car i didnt know it was a 1.4 16v, i just liked the looks as its the most lovely mk of polo that was made - i think neways.

Its just everytime a newbie comes on here , everyone says 17" look s**t and they should get 15/16" with a 80-110mm drop. And it gets on my nerves i must admit :)

Dont be shy 17" :D Honestly mate , its your polo so you have the comments of me with 17" and others with 15" and theres a s**t loads of photos in the gallery to help :P

Im down 40mm ALL round : i have a really heavy (and loud 130DB) sound system so i would say its about 50mm at the back. On standard stocks.

The front used to rub full lock on the front but nothing a little grind never fixed and some underseal.

The rear - for some reason only the left side rubs with 4/5 people in the car. Me and a Passenger no rub or me and 2 others.

If you dont want any run 195/40/17 tyres , right now i am running 205/40/17 on the RS4's.

What ya saying about all this wheel debate :P
