IN 02 error

Post by FunkyKex »

I have just bought a P-reg Polo sedan and like a numpty  I left the sidelights on all night and completely flattened the battery. I jump started the car the next day, but since then, when I turn on the ignition the code IN 02 appears on the odometer. It starts and runs fine and was not long since serviced. So after all this waffle my question is...

Does anyone know how to reset this code?

Thanks for any advice other than "It needs a service"

it needs a service

seriously though, the haynes manual shows a procedure for resetting the code, although if i remember correctly it only works for cars from certain years (the dials were updated at some point).

try doing a search, in this section and the FAQ section; that might turn something up.

otherwise you could take it to a garage with VAG-COM, they could clear the code for you.

Ta very gladly for your response Dragon Green.

I've just had new tyres fitted and one of the fitters had a technical book and he managed to reset it for me for nowt! :D

You can't get better than a Kwik Fit fitter pom pom pom
