okay basically i bought a gti grille for the new 9n3 polo from the vw garage, and i have no idea how 2 fit it onn! i rang up a couple garages and they didnt know either. it is possible ive heard to fit the 9n3 polo gti grill on the normal 9n3 polo as ive seen pictures of it. however i cant get hold of the person that did it (he's let me down!). what do i do!??
- open bonnet (or whatever it's called in english)
- remove 4 screws were the grill is attached to the bodywork
- look at the gti grill, you'll notice 4 'hooks'
- try to push these hooks a bit back on the original grill
- pull at the grill with two hands, pull a bit up and pull back (so you pull up diagonally)
- tzadaa, the grill is removed
To remove the logo:
- twist it to the left (perhaps you need to push back 2 levers at the back of the logo)
You'll also notice the gti logo is missing. I've got it, but since it's a diesel, I'm going to replace it with a TDI one, or i'm going to remove it completely. http://blade.madoka.be/polo/grill2.jpg
thanx alot thats alot of help! your gti headlights look sooo good.did u fit that yourself or was that done professionally? nice car and colour though!!
Blade if you don't mind me asking, how much did the GTi headlights cost you? I've been looking for a set, but eBay never seems to have any! I was considering going to a breakers yard, getting another set of standard lights, and doing a DIY job with them, to make them a darker colour like the GTi headlights, but thats only because I can't find a set of the GTi ones for love nor money!
