polo classic window

Hi guys,

My dad's front passenger window on his polo classic has just fallen through the door which i hear is very common on the polo's.
After removing the passenger door panel and calling my trusty sidekick watson i found a metal cable running loose :

In addition to the loose cable, the plastic clip on the runner for the window to the lower left of the door was broken on one side...

After a little bit of detective work I managed to work out that the wire in question should run over the pulley on the top left of the door as illustrated and down to the broken plastic clip ... however i couldn't find where it is supposed to attach to the plastic clip.

Can someone please tell me where this wire connects to the clip so that I can see if that part of the clip is broken or if i can get the window working again myself without having to take it to the vw stealers sorry i mean dealers

The plastic bits break, common issue that one.

If you can get a repair kits you can rebuild, if not its a new regulator you need.
