rough acceleration?

Hi everyone.

Wife has a 1.4cl. I drove it last night and found it really ropey when starting to accelerate. Once you reach speed it seems Ok and its ticking over fine. Any ideas whats causing this.

dirty fuel mabye, has ur fuel filter been changed recently, stick sun REDEX in through ur fuel an that will clean the injector ports

Dont think its a dirty fuel filter. Filter was replace about 11 months ago. Drove it again this morning. Starts ok but blip the accelerator and it sounds rough. Ticks over fine. When pulling away its really hesitant. Could this be blocked injectors? or something else. Has had new plugs and leads approx 6 months ago when it was showing similar symptoms

cud be the injectors like i said b4 my friend, add sum REDEX to the fuel wen ur fillin her up at the petrol station, this cleans the dirt out from the injectors an u shud feel an improvment from then, if this dosnt help u may have a silly problem on ur hands that calls 4 the garage, but give the REDEX a try 1st

its definatley not your injectors, first of all is your ful consumtion high, if so then maybe the injectors, but its your throttle body, its dirty, common problems, all you need to do is spray carb cleaner in and blast car on motorway for an hour and clean the crap out of the engine, happend to me last week and now its back to normal

Well, I've tried adding redex and also cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner. Problem still remains. Its ticking over OK. Problem is the hesitation when trying to pull away and at low speed. Swapped plugs and leads with no joy there.....

any more thoughts

couldnt be somthing to do with the petrol to air mix? maybe air firlters blocked?

My beast is running a bit s**t aswell sounds like the same thing. When i accelerate sometimes the engine seems to jolt and buck a little. Its very similiar feeling to it being starved of petrol> i know because i have absolutely no petrol in my car right now lol. Hmmm f**k... bbs.
