My Polo - Advise and comments...

Post by Stacey_K »

Hello again everyone, thought i'd finally take the time to post up some pics of my Polo (the green machine), hopefully more to follow of back etc...

Also i have managed to get hold of a replacement throttle body off ebay for £16 including delivery... should i be able to fit this my self (simple job) or should i leave it to a professional?? any advise welcome.

The code on the new throttle body is as follows:
408.238/321/009
036 133 062 N
5 WS 02025
02.34.4 II
MADE IN GERMANY
VW AD

Im hoping this should work without having to have it adjusted to match the car (1.4 L -97-)
Thanks for looking....

I like the look of it, thats the main reason why i bought it around 3 years ago now... Didnt do any of the styling myself  , part from the snoppy air freshiner...lol.

The car was owned by the owners of a local 'car mod' garage by me, they had 3 polo's, all done up differently http://www.roadrunnerparts.net/. Then they moved on to chrysler cruiser's, now have ford pick-ups...

The main reason i want to replace the throttle body though is because im gonna have to part ways soon.... ... starting my pgce up in aberystwyth in oct, need a car with power steering for the long drives through the brecon beacons, something easier to drive as such, hoping to get around £1200 min for her- twas in a side impact before i had her- but fixed by the garge so all proper...lovely little machine overall, will be much missed when i finally bite the bullet and sell

F150 Harley Davidson Edition, standard 20" chromes and a 5.4lire supercharged V8 8) more info for anyone interested Here

Not that I know a lot about them

I'd have the lightning personally, 5.4litre supercharged V8 (same engine as now used in the ford GT) 360bhp, 450 ft/lb torque, 0-60 in 5.2 and a top speed of 147

Anyway back on topic, the car doesn't look too bad. You got any more plans for it?

yeah, man the car looks sweet! not sure bout the front lights, i think angel eyes would look the part, but still yours are growing on me!

good job!

as for the truck, that is bad, they are gourgeous and huge! my cousin in mexico is got a red lightening and like "ModifiedMadness" said, it has the GT engine, so it goes like f**K! not been allowed to drive it though!

I would suggest changing the grille.

Just my opinion but it looks a bit naff

The headlights look quite nice though, you don't see those often

Just finished my 3rd and final year in Glam, been parking in the side streets (near the big blue gates) for 3 years....must of seen it. I have def seen another green polo done-up driving round, usually along the a473. My OH always points it out.

Strange -- raffles in tref is one of our locals -- and off to crown hill in the car now (see my friend Jenna before she leaves to go travelling the world) -- Small world...
