Brembo Seat Brakes

Post by MateyGuv »

After many mistakes by my VW dealer and a six month wait I finally get my new GTI at the beginning of September (I hope!!). I have owned three G40's and replaced there brake set up cause they were pap, I keep hearing the GTi's brakes are not all that good. Does anyone know if the Seat Ibiza/Leon Cupra R Brembo front disks and capilers be a simple conversion - like nuts and bolts. Or are the hubs very different. I know I may need bigger alloys to do this but thats no bad thing :D

Any help anyone can give me will be really handy, if this topic has come up before I am sorry, but cant find and articles about it.

Ta very much

Will bolt straight up using the SEAT mountings and Cupra R lines.

"Badger5 Ltd can now offer on a limited supply basis a Superbly Priced, amazing Brembo 4-Pot caliper disk and brake upgrade to owners of Seat Ibiza Cupras and Golf 2 derivatives. This upgrade kit comprises a Pair of 305x28 disks, Caliper Carriers, Brembo 4-Pot calipers, pads, stainless braided hoses (call to confirm spec)and all associated mounting hardware and instructions. Minimum wheel diameter requirement is 7"x16" ET35, 4x100 & 38mm clearance between wheel hub and spoke rear. Call for latest prices from £745 GBP for the complete kit"

Also the 280mm brakes from the regular Ibiza Cupra (same as the Golf/Corrado) will bolt up. In fact for this upgrade all you need are the capiler carriers and discs. This is what I have for mine.
