na zetecs arent top of the range, you get ST's and RS's

you also get the ghia models which have lots of luxuries...

look in your picture, it's bump strip is matt black, that isn't what i call colour coded

no but you can tell him you can pay for the damages but not for him to get some colour coding done on top of that!!!! he might as well get a body kit while he's at it...

I'd tell him to fook right off as far as colour coding the strips and handles go, like for like, he has black textured strips so he should get them again.

I paid 150 to have my front bumper sprayed, and 350 to have my rear smoothed and sprayed, that's £500 for a weeks work - That's at a local bodyshop who deals with insurance work, classic car restoration and general bodywork and is highly recommended.

So in my opinion that is an extortinate amount of money yes.

I can tell you right now, that if that car was took to my local bodyshop, the bloke there would have that done for £150 max by the looks of that picture. Thats a load of s**t, technically you should tell them to f**k off....but to take the more mature approach you should ring the guy, and explain that if your paying for it, then you will go find some quotes for him and then either offer to pay half...but i wouldnt argue to pay it all.

Either that, or print them pictures off and you have proof that there are no colour coded trims on the car...and fight it

surely it can be resolved through insurance?
when i got hit by a stupid mare backing out of her drive, her insurance company covered the damages to my car, but she did lose bonuses.

i read through insurance notes and it doesn't cover off-road use like private parkng which this was. Also my insurance has a 600 quid excess so i pretty much will end up paying the same amount, so i don't see a reason to pay 600 when it's much less than that job
