A little update

Post by Ross Clarke »

I've been out in the sun this afternoon, started at the back end of the car. Fitted some new rear wheel bearings as the right rear was rumbling, cleaned and adjusted the drum brakes and painted them up so they look a bit tidier until I get a disc set up on there. Then moved to the front, fitted my 280mm brakes gave it a good fluid change and a quick wash over.

Im knackered now, and this was supposed to be my day off from working on VW's...lol.

Ive lowered it down two settings on the rear dampers now so it sits level with the front.

You took pictures at my village church but didn't pop round to say hello?

What drop did you go for? I'm gonna buy the same kit as you as my Ibiza's shocks were an advise on the last MOT, and I'm wondering whether to go for 60 or 80!

I did think of popping in but it was a fleeting visit ;)

I got the 60/40 kit from Phil. But as you can see there is a fair bit of scope for adjustment at the rear :)

Later on this year I would think, see how it goes with our baby daughter. She is due in four weeks and that could kinda tie up money and time :)

sure thing, at least you have some poke, handling and decent fuel economy in the mean time. Its going to be ideal for carting prams/pushchairs etc around in!
