vag-com usb cable off ebay

Just a quicky...has anyone else bought a usb vag-com cable of ebay and use the free shareware version (409.1) of vag-com:

Im looking for a cheap way to hopefully re-align my polo's new Throttle body back to basic settings, thanks, Stacey....

I didnt think you could do basic settings with the shareware version of VAG COM.
