Number Plate Surround...

Post by chunkychimpanzee »

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking for a pair of British VW number plate surround. I have seen some of the plate surround has a 'Press Office' writing with a VW sign on it (They are normally show up in the VW Press office's vehicle only). It is the one that I am looking for. I have been to my local VW dealer and ask for this plate surround, but they are not selling it anymore. Does anyone know where can I find one? I have been to most of the VW shows and ebay but still not able to find one....

This is the number plate surround that I am looking for..

Hey, just saw my neighbour, and he said that the only cars that have those plate surrounds, are "complimentary" cars, so this means that they have been given for free to companies to promote the car, to test drive it, or any other reason why the car has been given by VW and has not been payed for. so cant get any surronds as they are ways of telling those cvars and the surrounds are not for sale.

Sorry!

but i am trying to get him take one set of one of his Pheatoms!!

Is it just one you want or a pair?

I have one that just says VINDIS and has the VW badge next to it, the other one is in half, I snapped it trying to get my plate out.

i can get the surrounds that say "murray's" or something like that, as my mates dad works there, but it is those "press office" ones with the VW badge that look so cool! specially with euro plates!

Thank you, Mk4 Mexican and ModifiedMadness. To be honest with you, the number plate surround that I really want is the VW Press Office one. Is there any chance that you can find out the part number of the Press Office surround? I know they are not for sell, but my VW local dealer said to me if I can get hold with the part number, they might able to contact the Milton Keynes VW head office for that part. The chance for having this plate surround could be low, however they might able to do something if I have the part number. Anyway, thank you for your help in advance and look forward to your good news.

Cheers,
