my mates just bought a 105bhp mg zr, how do you think it would do against my 100bhp polo? do the zr's weigh more than polos?

If it's the 1.4 they're a bit sh*t, my brother used to have one.

IMO they feel and look cheap inside, part of his interior door handle fell off, the screws came out of the glovebox (he only realised when he opened it and it fell off) and part of the seat broke.

Someone I used to go driving with a lot had one. I could almost keep up in my 1.4 8v so you should have no trouble mate.

my gf used to have an mg zr 1.4 and we were in it and i was driving it..... legally of course;) and her mum and bro and sis and sisters partner were all in a 1.2 or a 1.4 clio and managed to beat us and i had my foot all the way down to the floor in the mg and was not happy that a sports car was getting beaten by a clio of all cars. yes we were hammering down the motorway down a hill to. id choose a polo over an mg n e day.

plus if im not mistaken, mgs are sports cars, so , unless u happen to have a load of bricks in the back of ur car, ur polo should be lighter as it doesnt come with sport stuff as standard untill u put it all on, so i believe the polo is lighter and should therfor be faster.

plus my friend who has a punto 1.4 and i have a 2000 polo 1 litre we went down the hogs back in guildford and he did overtake me but for a 1 litre i wasnt going that slow.

i think u'll beat him.

I wouldn't go as far as calling a 1.4 MG ZR a sports car mate, some of them have sweet FA, manual windows, no A/C just the normal heater dials etc.
