As some of you should know, we attended the VW Expo earlier in the year, and was awarded best club stand, so here is the report from PVW
so they got our name wrong a little, its a start!Country Life
It seems the show calendar of late has grown out of all proportion, in fact there's not a weekend goes by when we’re not heading off somewhere or other to cover a show. It’s a tough call sometimes as to whether or not the people and the cars will turn up and make a cracking event, but when we learnt that local one-day event VW Expo was taking place about half an hour away from the office, we couldn't resist taking a look. With the GTI International weekend fresh in our minds, we hit the Expo with caution but were greeted by a great turn-out, chilled-out location and a tasty mix of air and water-cooled dubs. having been established for a couple of years, the expo takes place at the Kent County Hop Farm, and as an added bonus your entry fee covers the farm itself, a great idea for those with a family (we can't remember another show where we've been able to mix it up with shire horses as well as dubs!). Turnout was high with just the right mix of traders, punters and most importantly atmosphere. Compared to Inters we were actually very impressed. Concours was available as were the ever-popular club stands, UK Polo.net and havoc VW boasted nice displays, a fully operational bar was also on site, (which showed the England football match on a big-screen TV for those who didn't want to miss out). Camping and evening entertainment was all laid on for those requiring it. If you're in the southeast and like your shows relaxed and a touch different, we'd certainly recommend you shortlist this one for 2007.
