12" Boot/Sub Question

Post by gti_black »

bit of a silly question but is it poosible to fit a single 12" sub into a standard size sealed box into a 6n2 boot sideways. so the sub is on one side of the boot (takes up less space). has anyone managed to do this or got a current setup?? any pics??

by the looks of it the boots seems pretty small, so a bit unsure, and i dont want to end up getting a box and realising it dont fit.

help appreciated.

Standard box will be between 1 & 1.2cuft, 6N2 boot will fit about 5cuft in so you'll be fine 8)

really. boot seems kinda small.this is the sub im gonna put into it.

http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_det ... _id=25-130

spec sheet says recommened box should be 1.25cuft. but will the box fit dimension wise, or dont dimensions of the box matter??

dont forget ideally i want the box to fit on one side with the sub facing the other side of the car,

Should be fine, I'd have thought this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=3257 box would be more than sufficient, the sub I used said it recommended 1.25cuft but performed great in that box 8)

If you think 1.2cuft is around 13"x13"13" internal, a completly square box will only take up 14.2" x 14.2" of boot floor space.
