First post, and it's a not a good un I'm afraid.
My better half's Polo is a MY01 1.4 8v (6N?? ) - recently in the main dealers for it's annual service.
Returned from dealers with advisory on the front brakes.
Not wanting to cough up hundreds for the dealers to do something I can do in my sleep decided to do them myself yesterday.
Only to discover the dealers have gunned the wheel bolts on, and not torqued them. Some were loose
One was crossed
Result?
One knacked thread that won't be tightened properly.
I've tried cleaning the thread, used different bolts - no avail.
So, question;
How easy is the hub to replace on these things?
When I had the disc off, I noted that there were three locating screws on the hub behind the disc. Is it a case of remove hub nut, remove locating screws and replace?
Thanks in advance.
