Am trying to achieve the same with my 1.4 8v...well, when i get paid anyway.

Was having a look at the k&n airfilters for mk4's in demon tweeks, not sure if the difference if noticable, apparently can give you a few extra bhp.

Apart from that theres nothing i can think of that won't cost a bomb, am gonna wait a year for my premium to drop then get myself a 16v conversion. 8)

hey, i'm only trying to help. do you expect me to go trawling through the topics to find his name? If you want the info that desparately, it's your job. I gave you a start, that's better than nothing.

And also, you could have just put another message in the same topic saying something along the lines of "any ideas from anyone else?"

I'll forgive you for being a bit rubbish with the internet (i am good like that), but there's no need to be so special with your attitude.

I don't really know anything about teh MK4's but I'd have to say it's probably not worth bothering tbh, I should think it will cost a fair amount of money to get ant decent gains.

Unless you've already spent sh*t loads on your current Polo it'd be easier and better to buy a 16V rather than just the engine :)
Any ideas on how much a 16v engine would cost me?

You're probably just as well off buying a 16v outright. you'd need the wiring loom too, not to mention brakes and suspension upgrades.

also a conversion is likely to cost more to insure than a regular 16v.
