whats this air part

Post by sparky93 »

Hi,

I have some sensor on my mk2 breadvan. What is it and whats its purpose.

It is a small black relay sized box screwed to the upper bulkhead.
It has a 2way cable going to it, and under the connecter there is a covered up air connector.

On oposite side to that, there is 2 air pip connectors, one with a grren marker and the other with a pink marker.

a black pipe from somewhere(hidden by airfilterbox) goes into the pink, and a green pipe from inlet manifold goes to the green maked point.

It was hissing all the time, i swapped the 2 pipes round so it was green to green and no more hiss.

the connecter that is covered up has a slight suck when uncovered. Both pipes suck also.

Engine does hunt a little when warm.
