core plug on mk1, how easy to fix?

Hi, on the side of the engine in a mk1 polo (897cc) it is leaking water. Pretty sure it is called acore plug, is this easy to fix?
If so how as it seems to be sold metal.

Is it just a case of pulling the old one out and pushing in a new one?
