What type/grade of oil does everyone run in their Polo's ?.
I have been running 0W/40 synthetic this year but was wondering whether I should be using 10W/40. I was thinking of trying Castrol Magnatec.

Halfords 10w40 budget line, in the gallon sized forest green bottle
Seriously, it works fine, though i'm thinking i may get a litre of the castrol magna just for the winter, as it sounds like a ruddy tractor when cold and i think it might be because of sluggish oil. either that or a lighter weight one like the 0w40 (or 0w30?). didnt seem quite so loud when it was on magnatec last year.
if you're going to get that stuff though, decant it into a leftover carton of a different brand with a decent top / stopper. castrol container lids are utter s**t - wont stay shut, which as you might guess is a very important flaw!!! learned that from bitter experience..,
