Polos In Europe!

Post by Mk4Mexican »

Hey, i only just come back from holiday in france and i saw a fair few polos, but all but 2 of the 15 i saw, had the 16v body on them! i dont know why this is? even the skinny, small tyre ones had the body on! and none said 16v and some didnt even have the tinted rear lights! some said SDI, i dont know what this stands for. and some just didnt say anythin.

So they had the 16v bumpers and the small wheels. Perhaps that SDI badge stands for "Stupid Design Innit" in France. Just a theory.

yeah, they were 16v lookalikes, but with steelies and hub caps, and most with yelloew indicators and no tinted rear lights, and a few said SDI, but none said 16v or 1.4 or 1.6, most of them were blank and only said POLO.

Yep same as in Amsterdam saw a few Polos all with 16v bumpers and steelies most were small engined 1.0 or 1.4l.

Maybe the Europeans get the good bumpers and here in the UK we get ripped off and have to buy our own :?

G,day mates :) Just to confuse you even more 99% of the polos in NZ arrived via japan even mine which has a wolfsburg chassis number. All 6n's have standard bumpers and orange indicators and skinny steel wheels, but the good news is they all have A/Con elec windows etc as standard, the only badge you'll find on it is POLO no matter what engine size or fuel type. Just thought i'd let you know :!: :!:
