I Have No Car!!

I got rid of my MK1 as i did not want to ruin the mileage or the car itself with my boring commutes which were soon to become more boring and long, not something a beautiful car like that should have inflicted on itself.

I then brought my MK2 BreadVan, the Oxide Red one 1983 1.05 Polo CL with no rust, I've just sold this today. I now officially dont have a car! - oh dear : /

Basically i brought the MK2 as a car that i could use for my new job - long miles, without worrying about ruining a precious car - as it really wasnt especially since i only paid Â£160 for it with tax & mot!

I've just sold it for Â£360 making a healthy Â£200 profit

I'm no longer going to be doing the job i was going to be doing, as one day when hearing all the A level students opening up their results, i was bored and thought i would phone the uni i wanted to go to just to see if they had places, anyway i got an interview, got offered a place and took it.. i figured f**k it i cba to go and work so im now off to uni.

Since the uni im going to is my local uni (2 miles away) i dont need to worry about ruining a cars mileage

- I've sold my laptop, i've sold my MK2, i've got about Â£400 in the bank and so have Â£1000 to cover, buying a new / different car, its MOT / Tax if necerssary and anything major that needs doing.

Thinking of buying another MK1, but keeping it this time

nah the MK2 was boring and ugly, didn't in anyway compare to my MK1.

I've got to have another one, i'm thinking of looking at Mersham_Phils mk1 thats up for sale.

But Mk1's and Mk2's are pretty much the same car, Just the mk2 is more refined

Anyways i suppose your entitled to your opinion whether i agree with it or not, just a few people may find it offensive

Mk1's are far more fun than Mk2's IMO. I'm also of the strange opinion that the 895 and 1093cc's were far better engines than the 1043cc with all it's vacuum stuff.

Didnt get it, but i did get a resprayed, refurbed engine, MOT & Tax.. on a 1600cc VW Golf MK1

Just a 1600, i've only got 5 months left on my insurance and its costing me an extra Â£200 with immobiliser, on top of my original Â£640 payment.

TPFT for the moment until i get my no claims.

Sold for Â£350 to a sweet old lady with no idea how to drive.. but she only does 1500 miles a year anyway so it doesn't matter terribly

Think that's the end of my polo ownership though

Did I drive past you a couple of weeks ago when I was on a job in Saffron Walden? Remember thinking how nice your 'rocco looked.

I'd have been in a grey G-reg Toyota Camry so you'd never have noticed.

I am now the proud owner of an F reg 1 litre micra that I bought for Â£175 as a stop gap. Serious machine, that is.. if you think standard mk2 suspension's a bit sofa like you wouldn't believe what an old micra's like.. and it's even more sluggish! So glad I owned a polo first and not a micra..

lols... been in the back seat of a micra before... never did get offered another lift to the pub in it after complaining about how it was like being driven around inside a massive jelly...

(GC isn't that also where you GOT the mk2 from in the first place?)
