anyone changed an ECU on MK5 POLO before?
is it just a plug n play job if i get one from another polo of same year and engine code?
or is there more to it?
also best place to get one from?
ECU is dead, need a new one!
Its pretty much plug and play, you'd need to run VAGCOM on it for errors etc i would guess. I have known of people who have straight swapped ECU's in the past and had no issues. As for getting one, make sure its for your car and is exactly the same as your current one. find a write off at a scrappy might be your best bet.
