Back Box or Tunes

Post by LowPoloCo. »

Hey guys,

Just got paid, ive got £330 to waste (yeah i know, but you try gettin enough to blow on a car if ur on £3.67 per hour).

Im thinking sound system, and I hav what i want all planned, but, i'm only on a 1.2 9N, and i'll be honest, the sound it makes is...

So....

What do you guys reckon?

Cheers, your opinons have always helped before

Hey mate, don't worry it's nice to see some dedication towards the car. I would suggest possibly a quiet ish backbox something along the lines of a devil exhaust. Exhausts that are hidden under the rear bumper are in at the moment, so that could be wicked, I have a 1.2 Polo 9N, I have heard one with this and sounds not intrusively loud yet, nice at higher revs... because lets be honest a 3 Cylinder engine does make a lovely noise. If you don't feel this is right, then head down the audio route, but I would recomend an exhaust. Hope this is even merely helpful..

I recently got a JBL sub, amp, box and wiring kit from www.caraudiodirect.com for £140. And for the price its very good. Well made and bassy. Heres the link

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ae6befa560

You could prob get a backbox supplied and fitted with the rest of the £££

Go for both - inless u need a head unit aswell and wanna get 6x9s, new components etc.

Hey guys,

Yeah tht is the problem. I need a head unit aswell, i spoke to a bloke at motor world today, but he tried to make me go down this route of buying a package deal.

But to be honest with you, it was all of a low standard, but that might just be me??? It worked out at like £170, for some 10" sub and box, with a 3 way amp, and 6.9s. But they werent of any well known name (tht im aware of)

Cheers for your help, I'm looking more at back box I think...

What do you guys think of those direct fitted ones?

Cheers
