changed my mind already :D help me find sum wheels!!!!!!!

Post by i_am_ray »

ok so i changed my mind already, on careful inspection i could see the differences between the fox alloys i won on ebay and the ones people like ollie and CymruPolo have.
so please...if either of you are reading this, help me!
your wheels are the only alloys i have ever liked so what are they called and where can i get them.
i dont mind paying full price if i can afford it so are there any sites i can find them on or do you know anyone that wants to sell theirs.
ive been looking for ages now at alloys and i cant find them ones.
lots are really close, but none are exact.
and i dont wanna spend loadsa money just to end up hating them.
i'll be happy with 15" or 16".

thanks guys.
appreciate it

Keep an eye on this auction. He's based in London, so not that far from you. They need a refurb and some new tyres though.

Out of interest, where in London are you? My Dad has a tyre shop in Mitcham and he should be able to sort you out with some tyres and get them refurbished for you.

He might be able to sort you out with some RX's, if you want wheels like Alun's.

If you want an alternative, you could go for some Keskin KT4's in 16x7.5 fitment. They look good, and have a bit more dish than the BBS wheels, for that euro-look goodness. :D

Rimstyle (in Dartford area) or styledynamix (in Hayes, Middlesex) can sort you out a set for a good price.

definately think i prefer watching them then buying the "euro" look ones for £560

I'm not too sure really. It can be anything around £40-£60 for diamond-cutting the rim and powder coating the centres.

Here's some sites for you:

My current ones are BBS RXII's. I had the TSW volcanoes before the BBS's.

Yep, since they're split rims, they're going to cost a bit more to refurbish.

hmmmm.
so over all prob looking at £280 to refurbish?
4 x £70

hmmmm, do you think its worth it?
what do you think is the maximum amount i should pay for them on ebay (bearing in mind how much im looking at to refurb) before it comes pointless and i might as well buy them new.

I do think it's worth it. When you see the transformation from a tatty, dirty wheel, to a sparkling new wheel is great. However, it depends on how much you're willing to spend really. Redline on here, bought his for £400 for a decent set. I'd say I would pay around £150 for them on ebay. A set last week that had mirror polished rims and black centres went for £255 on ebay.

They aren't the cheapest wheels in the world, but if you get them done up nicely, you'll have a rare set of wheels that many will be very envious of.
