mk4 open air roof not working

Symtpoms man we need symptoms! A little more informationa nd ill try my best, though im no expert lol.

Mine ceased up when i bought it, turned out the cog ahd come lose. try opening the motor up and having a butchers. Do you know how to get into the motor compartment thing?

i'm picking the car up tomorrow all i know is that it's not working
just buying it fixing the bodywork and selling on but want to sort the roof as well

but soon as i know i'll be letting you know
