Removing interior mirror?

Hi

Ive pulled out the interior mirror but the part thats stuck on the window is extremely thin and Im warey of trying to remove it. Anyone removed one before or know a good way to get it off? Also can it be stuck back on? Im just wanting to move the mirror up higher because its too low at the moment.

hmm i think maybe its glued on so i might leave it

It is stuck on with very tough adheasive, leave it well alone or you'll crack your screen!

Why would you need to move it?
