I had my 1.9tdi polo sport since April 2003 but might have to sell it due to overseas work. How much should I sell the car for to the dealer as well as privately? I can't seem to find any data on glass guide, parkers etc.
Thanks in advance.

OK took the car out for a test drive - I was well impressed with the New shape Accord. I would have bought it there and then but they offerred me a crappy price for my car.
£8250 I beat him up to £9000, realistically I wanted 9500-10000 but the problem is my car is not in glasses guide yet
Unless he comes back to me with another offer I'll stick with the Polo, which is a shame.

Des,
Just out of interest, I'd be interested to know why you're changing your polo. Don't feel obligied to say, though
There's a Type-R Accord in my local Honda dealer (was out there today) on a Y plate for 12.5k which is *just* outside my budget - like all the interesting stuff... Maybe I need a bigger budget!
Drool.... Recaros.....
They also had a new shape Accord in dark grey with a fawny/dark beige full leather interior. Sumptuous is the only word I can think of. Even the sterring wheel was gorgeous to look at!!
Deek

Deek,
The main reason I'm changing is because I need 4 doors (kiddies on the way soon) plus I need the extra space. The rattles are driving me mad along with the crashing suspension
I decided not to go for the Type R as it is an old generation model and it only has 2 airbags. I took out a 4 Door gun metal grey 2.0SE with Epsillion 17" Alloys. It had dual zone climate front, side, and window airbags. You had to cane it to get moving but you had the familiar iVTEC scream past 5000RPM - NICE.
It's not as quick as my Polo but a whole lot smoother and quieter, looks classy too. I also phoned up VW and they quoted £8500 for my car so the Honda trade in is looking good, as you say. My wife reckons I should go for the Honda
Think I'll have another look round first, may even look at second hand C class Mercs.

Haven't you seen Top Gear's Survey show two weeks ago? They hammered the Mercs for being, well, rubbish.
Here's how the C-class model did in the Exec class:
