Sunstrips

Post by enimadrummer »

Thinkin bout getting one coz the sunblocks in the polo are cack, specially that one above the driving mirror....

Do the vinyl ones u get from halfords just stick on the outside of the window?

Or how much do the windscreens with the darkened stripe at the top cost? - Might end up doing this as i have a pretty bad crack in my windscreen anyway!

Any help appreciated...

dont get a sun strip.....they look so chav!

since your window has a crack, it may well be an mot failure and will undoubtedly get worse......so you may aswell splash out for a new windscreen with a tinted strip. i'm sure you can have a few different colours and looks pretty trick to me! with regards to costs, pretty sure its about the same price, but i'd think you'd be speaking over £200 from the leading figures out there.

sun strips stick out like a soar thumb and are one of the ugliest mods possible!!!!!

rant over

Well the windscreen guy told me to wait til it cracked to the edge before i got it replaced and it should pass its MOT (since its already been repaired once).

Back to sunstrips, im contemplating gettin one from halfreuds until i have to get a new windscreen.... Cant you cut them down so they dont look so chavvy?

Was driving the other day for a good 4 hours on the motorway and half way thru the sun was just in the gap around the driving mirror and now my neck is killin :x

yeh yeh......comin from someone with flip paint

lol just messing!

if it is really a major problem, then by all means yeh go for the sun strip if its for practical reasons, get a tinted one instead of like a solid colour tho. You should go to a professional tinting place and they'll do you a nice medium smoked 5-6" tint which looks really nice. Go for that i'd say :)
