Brake discs and pads combo - which would you go for?

After searching the forums for some brake advice I've narrowed it down to two options for my 1.6GL (vented discs).

If you have any oppinions or experiences with these set ups I'd like to know your thoughts.

Both set ups are standard size and fitment:

1. Black Diamond combo discs and Predator pads.

or

2.Brembo (MAX) or Zimmerman discs and Pagid fast road pads.

Hi Tris,

Just called GSF parts and the guy said they've stopped doing the Pagid Fast Road Pads for the Polo Mk4 they now only do Mintex pads at around £50+vat

They do still do the Brembo Max Discs at around £24+vat which isn't too bad.

Anyone used Mintex? or can suggest another combo with the Brembo Max?
