same mate, i have the base model 1.0E and it does me fine, i get alot of comments like 'what are you rnning under the bonnet' sometimes im in a situation where i might tell a porkie and laugh about it later, or just tell he truth and surprise them :D

as for the go-cart esque feeling, it certainly is once you've lowered it on coilovers! good fun and nippy enough for the town

nice looking car mate

Drinking from the black pump is certainly appealing :D I'm currently thinking of a 9N polo GT, fabia VRS, or even a 9N3 polo sport. I'm thinking of a car with the VAG 1.9TDI PD engine at the moment, but I could be swayed by something else, VAG or not.

I drove past the local Seat garage today, in fact. I saw a new ibiza outside with the FR bumpers. I do have to say they're mighty tempting too! Especially an FR 130 TDI in aniversario blue :D

Oh yes, I also re-wipered the polo yesterday.

the new ibizas all have the old style cupra bumpers so they all look like sporty models!! saw one 2day and it looked good, alloys maybe slightly too big for standard rims (17s) but they still look good!

i also went looking for them iron cross valve caps 2day in halfrauds but couldn't find any! looks like they are being chavved from the shops instead of the wheels now

Hmm, I might go and have another look tomorrow :D

It took me a couple of times to find the valve caps in my local Halfords. They're branded under the 'Hood' range, who do all the bike gloves and accessories. The range should have it's own little display in the shop. They come in packaging like this:

yeah i had a look all round the bike section, but didn't see any at all, maybe the halfords down in margate doesn't stock them which i find weird as they've just had a major re fit!!

I had a look at an ibiza today (the new DAB special edition in a light blue colour), and I really like it! Everything in the ibiza feels well-built, and is comfortable inside. I found an 06 reg FR TDI 130 in emocion red, for £11,495, very tempting indeed :D

ibiza fr's are very well priced, if u get a petrol fr its the 150bhp 1.8t engine, same as the new polo gti but for like 2-3k less as standard!!
i've found build quality to be slightly lacking in mine but its a diesel and does rattle more than a petrol
but i think the previous owner may have been in a smack becoz the left side of my dash just doesn't seem to fit properly (anyone whos been to a show with me must have seen the selotape holding on the chrome heater surround?? )
and the passenger door keeps dropping :x

They're definitely very nice, probably better than a polo, to be honest. I might not be getting one now, but probably round next September/October next year.

Yeah, they haven't nicked them yet, fortunately. And if they do glue them, I have no problems, as I can get new valves free of charge :D

I've also been looking at the 1.8T FR, and the used prices seem to be less for the petrol version, and I've always fancied a car with the renknowned 1.8t lump  but the DERV version still interests me.
