Hello

Got some pics of my motor on the member's rides section - plus the other half's mkiv too, which is better than mine anyway .... see what you guys think.

oh, and i have a stolen stereo! luckily it was in the post at the time - some brummy thieves nicked the entire citylink van and my stereo was in it! talk about being done in your own back yard

What are you going to do about the stereo? I assume you will just claim insurance? I worked for a PC hardware distributor in Brum for a while and they used Citylink and no end of CPUs/hard drives went missing...

Hope it all gets sorted out.

The stereo place is sending a new one out - I guess the package was insured either by them or the stereo company itself. Should hopefully get it tomorrow if I am lucky, so no hassles there thank goodness.

Got the amp wire and rca's routed through the car yesterday. Not too tricky to do that on the mkiv thank god. So should be able to plug the whole lot straight in when the stereo arrives. Nothing like forward planning eh?!

P.S. Am planning to steal the lights and wheels from the missus, just got to find the right time...

knew when reading this yesterday this was going to be my explanation to why my stuff didn't turn up yesterday as it should have done.

Ordered a new sub and 6x9's on friday and the guy told me they should be with me yesterday. Got home from college at mid-day and there was an answer machine message for a completely different person from the guys i bought my stuff from, so from instant i thought GREAT!! they've buggered it up. Called them up, they checked my order for me told me that it should still be with me that day. I waited........at 6pm (yes very hopeful) i gave up waiting, extremely

i came on here read this and i knew that City Link would have lost it as that would be just my luck.

Phoned them the car audio place again this morning and the guy checked my order again, told me he'd call me back. They were pretty quick at calling me back the day before so i thought fair enough. They didn't call (already i'm unimpressed now) any how call them at 5 tonight and YEP as i guessed they gone missing with City Link!!

Now i've got to wait till tmw (beacuse city link are now closed

at 5) for the guy from the audio place to call me and tell me what's going on!!!

If you've read all that, thank you for listening to me rant. I feel a lil better now!!

turns out to be better than that. City link didn't loose it Alpha Car Audio sent it to the wrong blooming person!! The guy they tried to leave an answer maching message for on my house phone got in contact with us last night. He phoned just after i posted the reply and and asked if i had his Amp coz he had my sub and speakers!! Any how City Link phoned today still trying to tell me that it was lost in their depot and that they had been located at which i told them i knew it was at the wrong place of which she laughed nervously and told me they'd be with me tomorrow! So we'll see when it arrives tomorrow, don't particularly like city link entirely, didn't really like some bloke knocking on my front door smoking a fag and scratching him self, not really ideal customer service

shame - alpha car audio seem to have given me very good service. fantastic prices too

still need my stereo tho - should be here today...

city link are dire - I remember a year ago when I was getting some more mail order and the guy at the end of the phone was about to cancel all service with them cos they were so bad......

i rung up to chase em, they "should get the stereos in today" blah blah "will be with you either tomorrow or early next week"

i hate chasing my stuff. wouldn't it be nice if you could find out where your order was on the website? www.play.com do this.

ah well, looks like i will be fitting my amp and sub in this weekend. and consoling the missus.

Amusing thing is about tracking your order when some one uses city link is that they need to give you the number, i was only able to track one of mine on there because i got a card through the door the first time i missed it and the code was written on that. What's the point in being able to track it if they wont give you the code?

Shall let ya know when i get my stuff...... if i get my stuff!!
