cleaned the ibiza up a bit (its not often :-o)

Post by DanDiesel »

well last friday, i decided that it was finally time to fit my new plate surrounds, and while the plates were off the car, i gave the bodywork a good wash and a clean and also cleaned inside and tidied up the engine bay!

used Quantam car shampoo (VAG own) to wash the outside
then used Turtle Wax 'Wax It Wet' to shine the paintwork (good stuff for cheats lol)
used a dry chamois to just rub over the car to get any fluff or drops of water off and to wipe the windows down
then used Megs 'back to black' trim renovator stuff on the side strips, lower front and rear splitters, grills and wipers
then gave the wheels a quick going over with a sponge and car shampoo again  (they had a GOOD clean last week so wasn't much to do)

and thats about it, not up2 Dino's standard, and on the evidence, Josh's either, but i'm pleased with my results!

here are some quick snaps (please excuse the little black dots in the pics, they are on the cam lense!!)

hope u like my few hours work (think it was about 5 hrs in the end)
the car has now been rite royally shat on (after just 2 days.....so annoying) and the front plate fell off (it was only stuck on with number plate stickers....temp measure) and is now on my dash and the rear one could go the same way!!

ah well, at least the pics came out ok!!

opinions please :)

Looks real good dan.

I think you should go with the idea of refurbishing them black. There was a lad at the polo show with a green polo on black solitudes. Decked on them like and looked stunning! Think this would suoit your car also. Pretty sure he has them for sale on club polo.

@dino, i just wish i could run them plates at all times, or even the ones that dubmeister did wrong coz they look far better than standard ones!
