New Speakers

Post by Biddy17 »

Bought some new speakers from halfords, i fitted them and i cant really tell the difference from the originals, so instead of taking them back i wanted to fit them in the back of my car, how would i go about wiring them up?

ive dont this.... there should be wiring, that come off the back of your head unit that would allow for speakers in the rear.... locate these wires.... work out which is left and right.... run the speaker wire through your car... and job done.... its really not hard mate

I replaced the speakers in my last mk4 with good cerwin vega ones but the standard headunit aint good and there wasnt much power being delivered so didn't really notice the difference. I think a new headunit+amp is needed for good sound because the standard vw speakers aren't really all that bad.

it's the most easyest thing do to i'm 14 andd i've done it myself as 'spot on john' sed locate the wires and find out which one is left n right n if i'm right i fink ur asking how to get wire to the back well what i did is i threaded the wire through the upper interior above the door to make things easyer go through the passenger side as it is easyer to get to ur headunit if u look above ur door the shuld be a sort of overlaping interior a darker colour to the top if you take a screw driver and fold it open (do not bend just open) then there shuld be plently of space to get the wires through to the back

hope that helps
