Hi mate,

Look in your service folder and you should have a little tag with your keycode and immobiliser no.

The keycode should be 4 digits and from that you could get a key cut off eBay.

If your key has an immobiliser chip this will have to be programmed to your car at a main dealer or auto locksmith with specialist kit as it has to be synch'ed with your ECU.

A key just cut will be enough to open doors and boot it will start the car for a few seconds only, when it looks for the chip in the key and there isn't one it will shut down.

That's the very book I'm on about. Unless you remember taking the key tag off and keeping it at home for safe keeping???

I know with my car I didn't get a key no. tag in my service book so I had a key cut from a photo again off the same seller on eBay, but that keys only good for opening the door and not driving but OK as a spare.

No other place has the key info recorded apart from the key tag and main stealer database which will cost £££.

Hi,

I'm sure the RAC will be able to get in easily, I've seen them on TV use some sort of 'slim jim' which they slide into the window gap similar to what the Police use.

Good Luck mate, I've used this guy to get a key cut from a photo for my Polo as a spare and from a code for my Audi. Keys were absolutely spot on and were delivered in 1-2days. They guy will answer any questions, just ask.

Hi Jon,

HAA is the type of key blade (i.e. Huf HAA type key).

You should be looking for a 4 digit numeric code and should range 0000-6000.

Hope that helps,
