Thanks for the comments guys, the should have been much better, but
a) It was wet
b) I was nevous about the camera falling offf the mount
c) My baby was asleep in the seat so I only had about 30 mins of snapping time!
The wheels are those 16" Bini wheels I bought, and no there not run flats! lol I like my teeth too much.
I was only travelling about 5-10 MPH when taking the shots, with a 30 sec shutter speed.
The mount is a double suction mount, the same mount as Top Gear use for their filming.
Looks to be sunny on Saturday, so going to strap the camcorder on there and start filming mine, a mates VR6 and a mates Loop GTI on throttle bodys.
Want to learn how to edit a film propally before the Loops back on the road.
Once it is, I dont expect to be home enough to do it lol
Other couple of shots taken are not great, but as I say, I only had 30 mins and this last pic, the lens had been splashed

RXII Refurb!
As you may or may not know/care.
The wheels on the Polo GTI I bought looked to be in pretty good order, but the rims had been painted silver so I didn't know what to expect when the time came to strip them down and polish the rims.
The wheels looked too dull without it, but due to the corrosion that always happens with these rims I know why the previous owner would want to paint them.
Anyway.
Id stripped the centres from the rims weeks ago, but as you do put off stripping them.
Had a few hours to myself after work today so got cracked on.
Paint Stripped

Part Polished

The wife said the baby had to go to bed at 9pm so I've had to stop for the day.
Not bad for four hours work eh?
