It may look to you as if there is no damage, but If it would still be wise to have it checked out.
I had a similar incident, but I got rear ended instead of me going into one. It appeared that the only thing happened was a slight scuff and a broken numberplate , but the inner impact bar had been bent slightly!

Claim for something, even if it's just a new plate. If they claim and you don't, it goes against you.
I found that one out when someone decided to introduce my mk2 with a fiesta. Mk2 had a scratched bumper, fiesta had a totalled door. Should have been 50/50, but I wasn't bothered to claim so it went down as I damaged their car.
