Flip-Out Key

Post by Biddle »

Just wondering whether it would be possible to get one of the spring loaded keys which flips out from the side when you push the button made for my 6n key. It hasn't got any electrics on it so would just be a case of getting the key cut onto one of these sort of keys. My mate has one on his mk4 golf (51) incase you cant picture it.

Try this link http://www.pocketrocket.ca/switchblade_key.html

I did this with my mk3 key.Its really easy to do, one tip, get a VAG key not one from a place like Timpsons. The VAG one's are stronger, I used a non-VAG one and it snapped of in the lock. I hope this is of some help.

Can anyone provide some pointers on removing the small pin from the flip key - the one that holds the blade in place?

Cheers :)
