Looks like Volkswagen is looking beyond just hatchbacks for its performance models:

296bhp 3.6 V6, 6-speed DSG gearbox and 4WD drivetrain, should be good for 0-60 in 5.6 and limited to 155mph.

Price estimates at around Â£28-30'000, can't see them being an especially common site on UK roads though.

...about time they followed Audi's example ie with the RS4 Avant.
