Spraying GTI splitter

To anyone who has sprayed their GTI splitter on the 6n2, was it easy to take off the car and what kind of prep did you do to it? I have plastic primer, red spray and laquer and wet and dry so was just wondering how people did theirs!

There is a guide on here.....i think or on clubpolo. It was on a green mk5 and someone done a really good step by step on it.
