Exhaust emissions warning light!

Recently (yesterday) fitted my BMC and all if a sudden the exhaust emissions warning light has come on randomly and wont go away was wondering if any1 else has experienced this after fitting their BMC.Also my gti had its m.o.t this morning and passed wit flying colours wit the light illuminated on the dash when the tester did the test.any help appreciated!
