Gti stuff on a standard 6n2?

Post by ziyaad »

Does anybody know if a standard gti bumper and suspension would fit on a normal 6n2 1.4? Cheers

the bumpers on a gti are the same as any of the other models apart from the xenon headlamp washers on the front bumper, and the suspension will fit off the gti on to any other model.

After this weekend (December 2nd/3rd) I will have a full set of GTi suspension (shocks and springs) up for grabs, coilovers are going on 8)

Exactly as polo power has said, the front (and rear) bumpers are identical on all mk5 Polos apart from that the GTi has headlight washers (a requirement for the HID xenon headlights).

Cheers

TBH mate, it's a waste of time buying and fitting the bumper from a GTi because the only difference is the GTi has headlight washers fitted.

Just get the GTi grilles, fogs and splitter for your bumper 8)

It is claimed to be about 10mm lower and ride quality will be a little firmer.

Hi
Suspension from the gti WILL fit a non gti as long as its a 6n2. I know this as I have fitted gti suspension to my 6n2. Cant remember if the springs are shorter but the shocks are definably stiffer and it is about 10mm lower! I also put some eibach pro spings on.

Also I used my top mounts and not the ones from the gti.

I have had this setup for about over a year with no probs.

Hope this helps any q just ask. later dude

i thought this woudnt make any difference aslong as it was a 6n2, it would be stupid to make two different types of shocks, to go on the same chasis of vehicle.
