I'm not 100% sure but dont these things just make your engine run with the choke on or make it run lean :? but whatever it does as said above it wont do it any good

It will do no good whatsoever. I believe it fools the ECU into over-fueling?

But hey milky if you want to fit it anyway, go for it

No, they're grown on my balcony, so really one of a kind and can only be bought from my website www.magicbean.com or from me personally

I think my bf bought one of these gimmicks cheap for his car, however, never put it on as the instructions said...

"may cause detination"

so no, don't know how they work but they look rubbish! Not something to confuse air temperature into believing its cold so more fuel used??

you get what you pay for so doubt it would be any good....

wel i wasnt there when the clio went unfortunately. It took a few days to f**k the engine proper i see it when he first ahd it on. basically there was like a 2 second pause between when he put his foot down and when the engine bucked, and i do mean bucked, into action. The he would shoto off faster then normal for like a second then go back to being a piece of s**t 1.2 french crap

And he ahd just put a 350 quid bodykit on it. Actually looks pretty mint but its still a clio lol.

That would of course, be detonation as in 'pinking'. Idenitified by a metallic pinging noise. Basically the temperature in the cylinder increases and the (at that point) unburnt fuel/air charge spontaneously combusting.

By keeping it in, they can cause local overheating around the cylinder. Think damage to the piston crown, headgasket and spark plugs. Over time it will increase cylinder-piston ring wear and bearing wear.

If you don't get pinking, you may pass unburnt fuel into the cat, which can damage it very easily. You'll also pass all manner of rubbish through the exhaust which could make for an interesting emissions test come MoT time.

If there were easy gains to be had by just putting more fuel in, everyone would do it. When you plant your foot, the ECU will put in a rich fuel-air mixture anyway.
