How do i find the paint code?

im also spraying another part. basically i bought a debaged mesh grill and it came with a small semi circle shape to fill the gap left in the bonnet, when removing the old grill. see pic

the material is plastic. so what would i need to paint that. would it need primer?? or just paint then lacquer

Your best when painting any plastics (badges included) to rub it down with a bit of wet and dry then use some plastic primer, Halfords stuff will do, then you're ready for Paint and Lacquer

would any old platis primer works or does it have to be special car stuff?? any chance a DIY place (wickes, b&q) would sell it??
