16" wheel on polo gti

Post by Spiderdimit »

Hello,

I've a question for the larger of the 16" wheel , is it 7" or 6,5" like original :?:
Is there any problem to put 16" wheels on the polo :?:
Is there a difference with performance of the car :?:

All I know is make sure they are 4-stud. Didn't make a difference when I changed

Hi mate,
Indeed, larger wheels=haevier(according to same model of wheels)
try choose some lighter wheels when upgrading, then you should be fine.

As for the Offset choose 7j offset 32-38mm,or 7.5j offset 40~45mm,
then you should be fine.

Calculations:
Stock size 6j offset 45mm vs 7J offset 32mm
(1j / 2=13mm)+(45-32=13mm)=26mm
so it ended up pushes 26mm outward from stock wheels.
